It's Official!

Well, it's official! The cat is out of the bag now and it's time to share! Cameron is going to be a big sister! We ARE expecting and DUE in mid June. I've told a few of you and others has suspected, now there is no question! We are about 3 months now and so excited, we can't wait for his or her arrival. Cameron thinks she knows what is going on but we both know she has no clue what she is in for. It's rather cute though. She knows she wants a baby sister although she can't tell us why, she thinks that the baby is in my heart not my tummy, and when I tell her that I'm not feeling very well she loves to kiss & pat my tummy telling me that it's okay. Cameron has been pretty careful with me knowing that we have a baby on the way. I think she knows that something is not quite the same with me... I haven't been feeling all that great, however, we are on the up and up! Wish us luck and keep us in your prayers! :)

Lake Travis

Weekend before last we headed up to Austin for a fun, relaxing day at the lake. It was a bit chilly, however, we made the most of it and had a ton of fun just the three of us. Cameron loves being on "her biiiigggg boat" and she loves to say "faster Dada faster" at all times, no wake zone or not she's got to go fast. She has a great pair of sea legs and could live on the boat (like her daddy) if we'd let her. We got some much needed fresh air, quite time, loads of laughs and wonderful naps while we were out there. Who could ask for better family time? Here are a few photos of Cameron being silly on the boat.

Gearing up for Thanksgiving!

Have I mentioned before how much Cameron enjoys her Art classes? I think so... Anyway, last week in preparation for Thanksgiving, Cameron made a "Thanksgiving Hat". She painted construction paper feathers, glued them on along with real colorful feathers onto the band and then to add a little sparkle, we sprinkled on (heavily) a little glitter and there you have it a Thanksgiving Hat!! We brought it home today along with the canvas turkey-hand we colored / water colored. And since we were continuing this Thanksgiving themed project Cameron insisted that the feathers were a must on this painting as well. Gobble Gobble everyone and Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy.

Elmo comes to town

Even though Cameron has never really seen an episode of Sesame Street before she LOVES Elmo. She has several books about him and who knows...maybe she just knows that "everybody" knows Elmo! She and I went with some friends and had a blast! She really enjoyed the show and got a kick out of seeing Elmo live. Here are a few pics from the show and of her showing how excited she truly was.

Party Hat!

These days it's all about the Hat. Cameron loves a good party and loves to wear the hat too. One mention of a birthday party and she gets excited about singing the "happy to you" song and wearing a "party dress" and a "party hat". You should see the smiles it brings out in her. Needless to say how happy we were to discover in Art class that we would be making our very own "party hat"!! Cameron painted the hat, then added beautiful feathers and whats a party hat without color streamers! Here is her in her final product. She wears it almost everyday around lunch time! -So cute.

Pumpkin Carving

Halloween is over and I'm just now posting these....I know, I know. I'm falling behind in more ways than one these days. The Tuesday before Halloween our street celebrated it's 2nd annual pumpkin carving party. Here are a few photos of Cameron and I carving our first pumpkin ever, her loving on the blow up pumpkin (she thought it was the best thing ever!), and of our final product.

Neighborhood Halloween Parade

Each year our neighborhood has a Halloween parade. All the kiddos and some adults dress up and meet at the club house for some fun, drinks & snacks. The parade is kicked off with a fire engine and sirens and then off we go! Here are a few photos of Cameron before, during and after with some of her best buds.

Love Creek -Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday Cameron and I joined a few friends at the Love Creek Orchards for a fun fall outing. We had so much fun and for all you who live in south Texas with little ones... it's a must see. They had everything from hay rides, hay maze, story telling, music making (Cameron is playing the triangle with a spoon), pumpkin painting, scare crow dress-up, petting zoo and on and on. We'll be sure to go again next year!

Ghost

Although I don't consider myself to be all that crafty, I wanted to do a fun & EASY little something with Cameron for Halloween. While walking in the neighborhood, Cameron Always points out the ghost she sees and Always wants to see more. That's where the idea came from. Here's us making our own little ghost for the front yard.

Cameron's turning Two

Although Cameron doesn't turn two until the 30th, we had her party this past Saturday. It was held at Big Top Kidz and she had so much fun. It's so easy to have it some where other than your home. No set up or clean up. You just come in, party and then head on home for nap time. Thanks to everyone who came and sorry we missed those who couldn't make it. It was a blast. Who could resist Pizza for lunch and Cake for dessert?

Hide & Go Seek

This photo of her hiding in our closet is just too funny not to share!

Pretty Toes

We have never painted Cameron's toes...until now. A little friend of hers in Little Gym always has hers painted and Cameron thinks it is soooo pretty. At home she spotted some "pink paint" and wanted to do her own. I gave in and I don't think there is any way we'll be turning back. Every time she takes off her socks and shoes she is sure to show us her pretty pink paint!

Cousin Corbin comes to visit

Few photos of cousin Corbin.... we don't get to see him much but when we do he is always smiling! Cameron is laughing at him... she thinks he is silly for trying to go down the slide head first!

Music Class

I've uploaded some photos of art class so I thought I'd do the same with music class. Cameron has a blast attending music class at Gymboree. Photos are of her playing the bells, "waking-up the instruments", and of her playing the good-bye drum.

Zoo fun

Today, Cameron and I joined some friends at the zoo while the daddy's were out golfing. It was quite the adventure with 4 mommy's and 8 kiddos. Needless to say it was a lot of playing and very little chat time for the mommy's. I took very few photos of the animals themselves, however, some would say our children were the animals. :) As you can see in the photos they had such a good time together playing the drum and wrestling around together. It was a fun outing and did the trick (exhausted Cameron -she took an awesome nap giving me a much need break!)
