Gearing up for Thanksgiving!

Have I mentioned before how much Cameron enjoys her Art classes? I think so... Anyway, last week in preparation for Thanksgiving, Cameron made a "Thanksgiving Hat". She painted construction paper feathers, glued them on along with real colorful feathers onto the band and then to add a little sparkle, we sprinkled on (heavily) a little glitter and there you have it a Thanksgiving Hat!! We brought it home today along with the canvas turkey-hand we colored / water colored. And since we were continuing this Thanksgiving themed project Cameron insisted that the feathers were a must on this painting as well. Gobble Gobble everyone and Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy.

Elmo comes to town

Even though Cameron has never really seen an episode of Sesame Street before she LOVES Elmo. She has several books about him and who knows...maybe she just knows that "everybody" knows Elmo! She and I went with some friends and had a blast! She really enjoyed the show and got a kick out of seeing Elmo live. Here are a few pics from the show and of her showing how excited she truly was.

Party Hat!

These days it's all about the Hat. Cameron loves a good party and loves to wear the hat too. One mention of a birthday party and she gets excited about singing the "happy to you" song and wearing a "party dress" and a "party hat". You should see the smiles it brings out in her. Needless to say how happy we were to discover in Art class that we would be making our very own "party hat"!! Cameron painted the hat, then added beautiful feathers and whats a party hat without color streamers! Here is her in her final product. She wears it almost everyday around lunch time! -So cute.

Pumpkin Carving

Halloween is over and I'm just now posting these....I know, I know. I'm falling behind in more ways than one these days. The Tuesday before Halloween our street celebrated it's 2nd annual pumpkin carving party. Here are a few photos of Cameron and I carving our first pumpkin ever, her loving on the blow up pumpkin (she thought it was the best thing ever!), and of our final product.

Neighborhood Halloween Parade

Each year our neighborhood has a Halloween parade. All the kiddos and some adults dress up and meet at the club house for some fun, drinks & snacks. The parade is kicked off with a fire engine and sirens and then off we go! Here are a few photos of Cameron before, during and after with some of her best buds.
